Kiosk Repair & Maintenance Across Southern California

When unattended equipment goes down, it stops collecting revenue and starts collecting complaints. We diagnose, repair, and maintain self-service kiosks of every kind — whatever the make, model, or original vendor — down to the printers, readers, touchscreens, locks, cabling, and network behind them.

What we repair

Kiosks come in a lot of shapes — retail and QSR ordering, ticketing and check-in, photo and print, bill payment, wayfinding, car wash and fuel, parking, gaming and amusement, self-checkout, EV and device charging, vending and dispensing. Underneath, they are the same short list of components taking daily abuse from the public, and they fail in predictable ways. We carry the common parts and know what to look for before we leave the shop.

  • Thermal receipt and label printers — jams, cutter failures, head replacement, paper path cleaning
  • Card readers, EMV modules, PIN pads, and bill acceptors/recyclers
  • Touchscreens and displays — dead zones, calibration drift, backlight and panel replacement
  • Barcode and ID scanners, cameras, and signature pads
  • Locks, hinges, latches, and cabinet hardware including tamper damage
  • Internal PCs, SBCs, power supplies, UPS units, and cable harnesses
  • Network connectivity — drops, switches, cellular failover, and Wi-Fi that will not hold

Break/fix and emergency dispatch

Send a ticket with the site, the equipment, and what the screen is doing. We confirm receipt, schedule a technician, and arrive with the parts the symptom points to. Technicians check in and out on site, capture before-and-after photos, and close the ticket with a written summary of the fault, the fix, and anything that is likely to fail next.

If the unit cannot be repaired on site, we pull it, swap in a spare if you stock one, and coordinate the RMA with your manufacturer so the paperwork does not stall in someone's inbox.

Preventive maintenance programs

Break/fix alone is the expensive way to run a kiosk fleet. A scheduled PM visit costs a fraction of an emergency call and catches the failures that create them. We build programs on monthly, quarterly, or semiannual cycles depending on how hard the equipment gets used.

  • Interior and exterior cleaning, including the paper path and bill path
  • Printer head, cutter, and roller inspection with wear parts replaced on schedule
  • Card reader and scanner testing with live transaction verification
  • Screen calibration, brightness check, and glass or overlay assessment
  • Lock, hinge, and anchor inspection — the things that turn into vandalism claims
  • Network throughput and failover testing
  • Firmware and OS patch status, reported back to your team
  • Photo-documented condition report per unit, per visit
Why fleets move to a PM contract A kiosk that is cleaned and inspected on a schedule fails less, and when it does fail, we already know its history, its parts, and its site access quirks. That shortens every emergency call that follows.

Installation, deployment, and relocation

We also place the equipment in the first place. That means site survey, power and data coordination, mounting and anchoring to spec, imaging and configuration, network activation, live transaction testing, and a clean handoff with photos. For multi-site rollouts we run the same checklist at every location so the tenth install matches the first.

  • Site surveys with power, data, ADA clearance, and access notes
  • Freight receiving, staging, uncrating, and debris removal
  • Floor, wall, and pedestal mounting with anchors rated for the location
  • Imaging, configuration, and software activation
  • Live end-to-end transaction testing before we leave
  • De-install, storage, relocation, and decommissioning

Multi-site rollouts

Rollouts fail on coordination, not on tools. We assign a single point of contact, publish a site schedule, confirm access with each property ahead of time, and report progress by site so you always know what is live and what is blocked. Nationwide projects are available when the scope calls for it.

How a job runs

Same sequence every time, so you know what happens after you send a ticket.

Ticket intake

Send the site, equipment type, and symptoms by phone, email, or the request form. You get a confirmation with the dispatch window.

Triage

We ask the questions that determine which parts ride in the van, and rule out the fixes your on-site staff can do in two minutes.

On-site service

Technician checks in with the property, diagnoses, repairs, and tests under live conditions. Photos taken before and after.

Close and report

Written summary of the fault, the work performed, parts used, and recommended follow-up. Escalation to RMA if the unit needs the manufacturer.

Questions we get

How fast can you get a technician to my site?

Dispatch depends on the site and the ticket queue, but our core coverage area — Los Angeles, Orange County, the Inland Empire, and San Diego — is built for same-day or next-business-day response on emergency calls. Scheduled maintenance is booked to your calendar.

Call the dispatch line for a firm window on a specific site.

Do you work on kiosks you did not install?

Yes. Most of our repair work is on equipment installed by someone else, including units the original vendor no longer supports. We are manufacturer-agnostic — the hardware, peripherals, and network behind unattended equipment are largely the same problem across brands. Send the make, model, and a photo of the interior and we will tell you what we can service.

Do you stock parts, or do we supply them?

Both models work. We carry common consumables and wear parts for the platforms we service most. For proprietary assemblies, customers usually keep a small spares pool, and we manage the RMA cycle with the manufacturer on your behalf.

Can you support kiosks outside Southern California?

Yes, for West Coast and nationwide projects where the scope justifies travel — typically multi-site rollouts, deployments, and scheduled maintenance routes rather than one-off emergency calls.

Ready to get this equipment back online?

Send the site details and we will come back with a dispatch window, not a sales call.
